CarolusLemeunier is the eldest son of the Norman painter Basile LEMEUNIER, who became famous for his portraits of Parisian trotters. Born March 31, 1881 in Saint-Georges-des-Groseilles (Orne), Carolus Lemeunier is a watercolor painter, a pupil of Édouard Detaille like his father and of Gabriel Ferrier. From the School of Fine Arts, he is a member of the Society of French Artists. As such, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris in 1907. He died in Le Mans in 1918.
