Very good condition - wooden frame
Born in Briey in Moselle, Léon Fauché was first a student at the Beaux-Arts in Nancy, then in Paris, with Aimé Morot and Chartran. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants with his studio comrades: Anquetin, Toulouse-Lautrec and Dethomas. He also exhibited at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts. In 1901 he organized with Anquetin, at the Pavillon des Arts Décoratifs, the Salon des Refusés, and founded with Armand Point, the Association l'Atelier. From 1906, the presumed date of our painting, he appeared at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts with portraits, interiors, still lifes.
