Very beautiful carved and polychrome wooden statue, representing the Virgin of Calvary. 18th century. She was placed to the right of Christ, at the foot of the cross, in a crucifixion scene. Hands clasped, gaze lost in the distance; her head tilted slightly, she expresses her pain with restraint. The statue is in one piece of wood (see photos on the back). - Dimensions: height: 95 cms; width 27 cms; depth 19 cms.
