Beautiful portrait of a woman in miniature, profile oil painted on transparent and radiant mother-of-pearl shell with opal reflections, which envelop the young woman in a halo of interiority.
Signed, L. Fourcade, there was a miniaturist and two painters who bore this name in the 19/20th century.
Good condition, quite fragile object however.
Dimensions: H: 10cm approx. A portrait of this kind is rather rare to find....
