Lined Metal Food Warmer

Flat warmer in doubled metal, monogrammed "S.D.".
Doubled metal is the 19th century name for silver-plated metal.
A difference separates them, the doubled metal corresponds to a silvering on copper, whereas the silvered metal is on brass or white metal.
This high quality tealight is made up of 3 parts, the body resting on four feet, the candle holder and its lid.
Decorated with a pattern of interlacing, on the handles and the feet.
The body is perforated at the level of the handles and on the underside, allowing ventilation and an oxygen supply for the burner.
Note very slight desilvering on the handles, the feet, and at the level of the monogram (see photos), scratches and slight shocks on the tray (see photos).
French work of the XIXth century.
