Small Alsatian Wedding Wardrobe In Polychrome Fir H 194 Cm
Very small and adorable Alsatian wardrobe in polychrome fir, very richly decorated. Probably a wedding cabinet, dated 1823, and decorated with the first names Maria and Huber. The decoration of the Annunciation is explained in relation to the desire to give birth to the young couple. Original interior fittings, shelving and two drawers. Shelving depth: 48 cm. Marble trompe-l'oeil cornice and plinth. Frieze with embossed pompoms on the upper crosspiece, uprights with cut sides also decorated in relief. Original lock and locking system. Period early 19th century (1823), Good condition.
