A frontispiece, 15 inserts, 15 headers, 15 initial vignettes, 12 tailpieces, in gold and silver as well as in color, designed by F.-L. Schmied, woodcuts. One of 120 copies (out of 160 in all) on Japanese paper, signed by the artist. François-Louis Schmied, born in Geneva on November 8, 1873 and died in Tahanaout, Morocco, in January 1941, was a painter, wood engraver, printer, publisher, illustrator, and bookbinder. François-Louis Schmied is one of the great illustrators of the Art Deco period. Very good condition, but the casing needs to be restored.
