Pair of 18th century silver candlesticks The circular feet with four contours and coves; Adorned with four stylized shells and clasps of winding palmettes. The top of the foot bell with pinched straight ribs. The four-sided baluster shafts, decorated with cartridges on a matte background and acanthus leaves. The ciruclaire cheese binets, also adorned with acanthus leaves on a matte background. The silver bobèches are of the same model; they are rechecked at the Vieillard (1818-1838) Poinçons de Paris 1773 (Letter K) Master Goldsmith GABRIEL Louis Emmanuel, received in July 1773. He was a companion in Paris, having worked with Sisters GERMAIN, AUGUSTE and Haudry. The great names of 18th century French goldsmithing. He was also guaranteed by Nicolas RIGAL for his reception.
