"Small Living Room Table In Walnut, Directoire Period - 1st Part Nineteenth"
Small walnut side table, with rectangular marble top, predominantly gray dotted with red. It opens with two drawers of identical depth. The first has a cut brass entrance, with original lock, in working order, and accompanied by its key. The second is equipped with a bowl pull button. Their facades are made up in the center of a burl veneer, and a frame in wire and with miter cuts. We find this same composition on the sides and the back of this Table which can therefore be in the middle. This piece of furniture rests on four legs sheathed in solid walnut, with protruding moldings at two thirds of their height. These four legs are connected by a spacer shelf, which again combines burl and wire veneers, and whose perimeter is underlined by a quarter-round brass rod.
