Rare Pair of Large Marquises from the Directoire Period, In Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer, Attributable to George JACOB (1739-1814), with Square Backrest. The Supports of Armrests in Detached Baluster. The Carved Front Feet, Ringed in Bamboo, The Etruscan Back Feet. Velvet fabric upholstery with a yellow background printed with patterns. Sale of a Chair at the Charpentier Gallery on December 20, 1949. Our Marquises are very wide and very comfortable, they measure 94 cm in height, 76 cm in length and 54 cm in depth. The height of the seat is 44 cm.
