Pendulum 1 And Empire "alcibiades And Socrates" In Gilt Bronze And Green Marble From Legendre
Pendulum of the 1st Empire in gilded bronze with mercury with mats of brilliants. It represents General Alcibiades in full length holding a treatise in his hand and at his side the philosopher Socrates in bust. The movement is in white enamel signed by Legendre 10 Rue de Rivoli in Paris. Very good quality of carving and gilding with matte and shiny. The details like the winged arrows on the sides of the clock, the drapes of the general's clothes, the sword, his headdress... are of very high quality.
