From the structure to the gilding, this delightful late 18th century period mirror is a remarkable example of the Louis XVI style which owes more to Marie-Antoinette than to her sovereign husband! The frame of our mirror is soberly adorned with pearls and olives while the opulent pediment is adorned with a superb bow whose ribbons fall elegantly on bunches of grapes. In the center a small medallion mirror crowns the main mirror like a diadem. This mirror in the most perfect classic French taste is in very good condition.
