Elegant Library, Louis XV style, opening with two mahogany veneer doors, glazed on three quarters of their surfaces. The latter are composed in the lower part of skilfully domed full panels, embellished with vegetal marquetry on a rosewood background. These doors have finely carved brass escutcheons, and the one on the right has a long lock with high and low hook points. The furniture is supplied with its key. The interior, in Mahogany, is lined with four 31 cm deep shelves, placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total storage height of 168 cm, insofar as the cleats are unscrewed. This Library is topped with a Cornice in solid Rosewood, cut in Gendarme's Hat, and itself crowned with a generous Bronze shaped in Shell, flowers and foliage. It overlooks an inlaid floral decor framed by a lemon tree net, reminiscent of that present on the low fretted crosspiece. The front uprights are, above and below, enriched with bronze ornaments, and the four legs are embellished with sabots of the same alloy. The sides of this piece of furniture take up a design similar to that of the front, namely Rosewood Veneer panels delimited by Lemon tree fillets and Mahogany Veneer surrounds. Note the omnipresence of brass rods, more or less ornate, highlighting with finesse certain elements of this piece of furniture, such as its Cornice, its lower part, its front uprights, or the various components of its doors. It will also be specified that each of the ornaments of this piece of furniture is, in addition to Quality, fixed by screws. The reasonable dimensions of this Bookcase give it interesting roominess and adaptability to even small surfaces. But it is unquestionably its paradoxical Refined Character which will end up charming its future buyer.
