Very beautiful work by Jacques CALLOT (1592-1635) depicting the "Parterre de Nancy" (also called the "Garden of Nancy"), engraved in 1625. This is a very beautiful etching from the 1st state/II , before the excudit of Israel Silvestre (Lieure nr 566, Meaume nr 622). This is a very nice print, very crisp and very well inked, in very good condition and free of foxing. The board is trimmed on the sides (more significantly on the right side). It measures 25.5 x 36.4 cm (47 x 60 cm with its frame). Free delivery in Paris possible.
