Terracotta Pincushion For Baby Head Sewing By Georges Dreyfus Paris flag

Object description :

"Terracotta Pincushion For Baby Head Sewing By Georges Dreyfus Paris"
This amusing subject - a baby crying because of an insect - in glazed terracotta was created by the famous potter Georges Dreyfus to serve as a pin holder. A small padded velvet cushion on which pins are stuck for sewing has replaced the child's skull cap and therefore serves as a pin holder. In its box and even its original tissue paper! First third of the 20th century. Usual mark below, a dented card marked in the center "GD Paris" as well as "deposited" and the catalog number 1184. Dimensions: Height: 9.2 cm Width: 8 cm depth: 6.5 cm Good condition. This object, an essential tool for the seamstress, is old and has been used. Beautiful patina of time. Very slight traces of use. The box, which has retained its original borders, has been discolored by time. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
