"Church Of Foy Notre Dame Near Dinant (belgium 1896)"
Pretty rural view of the church of Foy Notre Dame located a few miles from Dinant. The church is a famous Marian sanctuary (study of the mysteries linked to the Virgin Mary) and was built following the discovery of a statuette of the Virgin by two lumberjacks in 1609. This was encrusted in the fibers of a old an oak tree and soon after its discovery miracles occurred in the region and prompted the cult leaders to investigate them. Faced with the insistence and the veracity of the facts, the clergy authorized the construction of the site.
