Surjoug or subrejoug, or bejouet, in turned wood and carved with chevron friezes, polychrome. 3 floors, 3 bronze bells, model from Gers, southwest of France, 19th century. Old traces of xylophages, cracks, normal wear, wrought iron reinforcement at the base, height: 53 cm. Intended to overcome, and decorate, the yoke of cattle teams during ceremonies. Emblematic object of popular art from southwestern France.
