Magnificent two-part china cabinet by Louis Paolozzi edited by René Godfrid in the 1950s. Louis Paolozzi worked frequently with René Godfrid to offer a series of innovative and useful furniture for the home. A beautiful period advertisement is visible in the photo. The upper part of the sideboard, worked in ash, fits into the base, which is in mahogany. It has a sliding door revealing two shelves on one side, and two flaps revealing a bar area lined with green felt and a new storage space with a shelf on the other. There are also two entablature drawers and a removable rattan shelf. The design of L. Paolozzi on this dresser is all curved. The sides are lively, the handles also openwork, the drawers have soft edges ... Indeed, the rounded lines of the furniture contrast with the straight lines of the veining of the ash. It is based on a mahogany compass base in a slightly darker hue. The shelves are removable and adjustable in height. Atypical multi-use piece of furniture with a honey patina elegantly capturing the light. Slight gaps in the rattan on the right outer edge. Please contact me for delivery!
