Directoire Period Circular Pedestal
Circular pedestal from the Directoire period Pedestal table in mahogany and veneer, with a tilting circular top mounted on a cantilevered shaft with an eventful tripod base ending in windings fitted with wheels. The top of the top is in white veined marble surrounded by an openwork brass gallery with diamond patterns. The shaft and the base are varnished with a buffer. Model of the Parisian cabinetmaker Benoit LERPSHER whose production supplied the National and Imperial Furniture, to furnish many castles. Dimensions: diameter 93 cm, height 70 cm.
