Erstet Jean-ulric, Scriban Commode In Walnut From Louis XV Period Stamped XVIIIth Century, Circa 1750 Superb Scriban Commode In Walnut From Louis XV Period, Stamped Jean - Ulric Erstet. Stamped on a Tranche de Tiroir by Jean-Ulric Erstet "Jean-Ulric Erstet (died 1780) - Cabinetmaker Paris Master 1740. He practiced rue des Prouvaires, then rue des Vieux-Augustins, near the place des Victoires. invented a sort of table forming a desk and backgammon. Received master in Paris in 1740, Erstet settled down as a manufacturer and furniture dealer in rue des Prouvaires then rue des Vieux-Augustins.
