Sampler made by Elizabeth Bowman on a very fine textile with an extract from the book of Exodus and the Ten Commandments, the two tablets surrounded by foliage and of flowers, with an angel in the center.
Slightly lighter green color on part of the lettering.
Dated May 30, 1749.
Reframed early twentieth century.
