A Louis XVI silver teapot. Lausanne work from the end of the 18th century.
Hallmarks:
Master silversmith: Jean-Guillaume Brenner (Wilhelm Brenner).
Lausanne.
1780-1790.
The book l'Argenterie du Vieux-Lausanne illustrates an identical teapot but of a more recent production (1790-1800), also by Guillaume Brenner. Guillaume Brenner is considered as one of the best Lausanne silversmiths of the second half of the 18th century.
