Louis XVI / Directory Console Planter
Louis XVI / Directoire period planter console in solid mahogany and mahogany burl veneer. End of the 18th century. It rests on four feet with double balusters facing each other. These feet are called "Jacob feet" in reference to George Jacob, famous cabinetmaker behind the creation of this type of foot. These are joined by a long concave spacer shelf on the front. They are terminated by shoes and wheels. The belt has at the bottom two lockable drawers, one of which is compartmentalized. In the upper part, there is a zinc tray to receive the plants. The two original locks are functional and provided with a key. Recent buffer varnish. Dimensions: L 130.5 x D 51.5 x H 82.5
