Breton women sewing in the garden Victor Pierre Ménard (1857-1930) Oil on canvas signed lower right Dimensions of the work: 38 cm x 46 cm Dimensions of the frame: 46 cm x 54 cm Victor Pierre Ménard was born in Nantes February 8, 1857. He is a pupil of Guay, Jules Joseph Lefebvre, Henri-Lucien Doucet and Luc-Olivier Merson. He regularly exhibited Breton landscapes, interiors and popular types at the Salon of French artists from 1894, he obtained a mention in 1923. He also exhibited at the Salon d'Hiver from 1923 to 1937.
