"Coffer Forming Pin Box With Secret"
Rare box "à doucine" tortoiseshell and brass marquetry inlaid, with motifs of singeries, birds, foliage and flower vases in cartouches. The ball of red leather on which one came to prick the pins slides to discover an inlaid monogram, depicting two falconers holding a coat of arms monogrammed LEC.
Box in oak, tortoiseshell and brass, Louis XIV period, early 18th century.
Apart from minor lacks, good overall condition.
