Miniature on ivory, presenting a portrait of a woman wearing a blue dress, flower in the left hand. Signed HIRNSCHROT and dated 1826 on the right side. Blackened wooden frame with oval view. Johann Andreas HIRNSCHROT, miniaturist painter (1799 - 1845): after his studies at the Academy of Nuremberg, he stayed in France, worked in Sèvres, before devoting himself to miniature portraits on ivory or enamel, mainly in Switzerland from 1828 Frame dimensions: L. 13.5 cm; H. 16 cm. Miniature dimensions: L. 7.5 cm; H. 9.5 cm.
