"Louis XIII Chair Or Fireside Chair"
Low seat for this chair hence its name of armchair in order to be as close as possible to the hearth of the fireplace.Its high rectangular backrest is flat, slightly inclined.
The base turned into balusters is in waxed walnut wood. The right rear legs have chamfered edges. An H-shaped spacer and a reinforcing bar on the front.
The trim is horsehair and redone by a professional upholsterer, It is covered with a linen fabric for upholstery.
Beautiful patina for this low chair which can be placed in a living room because the seat is roughly at the same level as a sofa.
Maintenance restoration, in particular crossbars under the seat changed and consolidated. (see photos)
