Planter Napoleon III Period - Sèvres Porcelain - Rosewood & Bronze - 19th
Napoleon III period planter in marquetry. Work in rosewood from the second part of the 19th century. This planter has the particularity of being dressed with two Sèvres porcelain medallions describing a cherub, putto, on the one hand and flowers on the other. It is also adorned with chiseled and gilded bronzes with floral decorations, Louis XVI knots and other pearl friezes. A beautiful openwork bronze gallery crowns the planter. The curling and marquetry work is well executed and highlights the Sèvres porcelain. It has its original zinc tray. It has been re-varnished with a tampon.
