Portrait of a man by Louis AUDIBERT, Marseille artist who crossed the twentieth century. Charcoal on paper, framed under glass. Grandson of industrial soap makers from Marseille, he studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, the city where he stayed until 1912 and where he discovered the Impressionists. In 1920 he will meet and bond with LM Verdilhnan then work with him in Cassis. He will become W. Churchill's drawing teacher. He will be linked with many artists of his generation such as Albert Marquet or Maurice Kisling. He founded the Union of Plastic Arts in 1948 and will be exhibited in numerous collections.
