French Dresser Louis XIII Era, 17th Century

An elegant late French medieval piece of furniture, this sideboard is still a must-have during the reign of Louis XIII. Ours, narrow and discreet, is all in walnut and blackened wood. The upper part and the lower part both have a door nicely carved with diamond patterns, opening and locking. The ironwork itself is neat and the two keyholes are finely chiseled.

Each angle on the front of this dresser is underlined by a detached torso column. The angles of the belt opening to a drawer are decorated with carved urns. Very good condition.
