Rare commissioned painting representing Paris at night in the 1900s, signed lower right Georges STEIN. This table was painted on a gilded cardboard rococo movement terracotta plate signed by the sculptor GOLSHNEIDER with the artist's stamp hollow on the back. It is framed by a rod and a black background. Georges Stein was a French painter of the late 19th and early 20th century, best known for his scenes of Parisian life. Sources dispute the dates of Stein's birth and death. The Benezit (Dictionary of Artists) gives the year of birth 1870. Dimensions of the frame: H: 35 W: 42 cm
