RARE IMPERIAL SÈVRES PORCELAIN CREAM JUG
FROM THE SERVICE PRESENTED BY EMPRESS MARIE-LOUISE TO THE COUNTESS DE BOUILLÉ
Pestum-shaped cream jug in hard-paste porcelain, with a green chrome ground, with rich decoration of gold fern leaves and a frieze of stylized platinum leaves, gold fillets on the edges, golden handle.
Very good condition.
Sèvres Imperial Manufacturory, 1810.
Marked with red stamp.

Provenance
This cream jug comes from the déjeuner "Fond vert de chrome, frise fougère en or", entered to the Sèvres sales store on December 28, 1810 (Arch. Sèvres, Vu1, fol. 104 v °) and composed of 4 pieces for only one person (the cup and the sugar pot have already been sold by our gallery, the teapot is missing), for a total cost of 185 frs. It was delivered on December 31, 1810 to the Empress and Queen (Marie-Louise, spouse of Napoleon) to serve as a present on the occasion of New Year's Day 1811, offered to the Countess Bouillé, lady of the palace of the Empress Marie-Louise. Mention is also made of a plateau, possibly added (Vbb2, fol. 125).

Marie Robertine Anne Hélène Joséphine WALSH de SERRANT (1775, Château de Chevigné-1825), known as Mademoiselle de Serrant-Walsh, married on April 3, 1798 to Louis Joseph Amour de Bouillé du Chariol, count then Marquis de Bouillé (1769, Basse- Terre en Guadeloupe-1850, Paris), French general.
