Pol Chambost (1902-1983) was a French ceramist and sculptor known for his new approach of decorative and table arts. After studying in School of Applied Arts, he started working with his father as a funeral sculptor. He became fascinated about ceramics which he used to create his first artworks and he opened his studio. He would develop there his technic and began the serial production. Thoughout his prolific carrer, his unique and innovative pieces aroused a lot of interest in France as in the US.
