René Pottier (1897-1968) La Sebiba: festival and dance of the Tuareg people Oil on canvas, to be cleaned and small restorations to be planned. dimensions: 24 x 35 cm René Pottier spent part of his life studying North Africa and the Sahara, as his many works and publications recall. His wife, Jeanne, who accompanied him on his African travels, was also passionate about the Sahara and also wrote a book on the Touareg Legends. A work is at the Quai Branly museum. (Wikipedia)
