"Fireplace Plate With The Arms Of Leopold I Duke Of Lorraine And Bar"
Fireplace plate dating from the early 18th century, bearing the arms of Leopold I, Duke of Lorraine and Bar, known as Le Bon (1679-1729), son of Charles V, titular Duke of Lorraine and Bar and Eleanor of Austria, Archduchess of Austria and Dowager Queen of Poland, he is married to Elisabeth Charlotte d'Orléans in 1698, the eldest of the little girls of Louis XIII. This peaceful and generous sovereign restored peace and prosperity to his subjects. It consists of a footprint at the crowned top, dated 1701, surrounded by five coats of arms crowned and topped with a cross of Lorraine. Its weight is 128kg.
