Elegant three-seater bench from the Mid-19th Century Second-Empire period with a pegged structure in mahogany veneer and carved solid with a rectangular backrest surmounted by a so-called quarter-round cross member, the armrests supports with golden dolphins rest on capitals with palmettes and a lotiform decoration, the whole is embellished with a beautiful ornamentation in finely chiseled gilded bronze such as: Lyre flanked by musical zephyrs, two wings spread with Jupiter's thunderbolt, two palmettes centered with a mascaron with the figure of Mercury and two palmettes centered with a rosette. The whole is covered with a superb green velvet embossed matte shine responding in a play of relief in tone on tone richly decorated on the backrest with a motif of three musical attributes depicting a lyre in a laurel wreath, animated on the seat by three flowered crowns and featuring a semi-rosette on the entire seat, including on the back, allowing use as a middle cabinet.
