Paul Defaux (1922-1982).
Belgian painter, above all author of surrealist collages. Member of the "Surréaliste du Hainaut" group. Friend of A.Chavé and A.Simon, close to the surrealist milieu of Montreal. Took part with Marcel Lefranc and Armand Simon in "The useless exhibition, surrealism or not perhaps", in 1972. Founder with his daughter, Marie-Paule of the famous "Galerie 7" in Mons. Illustrated several books.
