Nice "Christofle" crumb tray created in 1935 for the First Class of the "Le Normandie" liner. The "transat" model, specially created by Luc Lanel (1893-1965) for Le Normandie, offered a shape that was at the same time simple, stable, refined and yet very elaborate in the study of its line. The Paquebot set sail on May 5, 1935. Showcase of French decorative art and a masterpiece of naval technology, it served the Le Havre-New York line until 1939. Immobilized and decommissioned, it was almost completely destroyed by fire in New York Harbor in 1942. Goldsmith punch "O C" Goldsmith Christofle on the back. In a perfect state.
