Cameo On Agate Brooch

Very beautiful and large model of sculpture in bas relief on an oval agate with a bluish gray background and white upper layer. Representation of a woman's profile in the bust turned to the right called "à l'Antique", her hair raised in a neglected bun and curls falling on her shoulders. The portrait was released in the white vein of the agate. Beautiful quality of sculpture. This hard stone is mounted as a brooch by six claws on a gold ring (horse's head punch). Hinged fixing needle with swivel safety easel. Gross weight: 29.8 grams. Note: the discreet mounting of the claws highlights the whole and gives it a more current appearance.
