Jules Georges Redon, born on November 16, 1869 in Paris 10th and died on January 22, 1943 in Paris 9th1, is a French painter, draughtsman, cartoonist, poster artist, engraver and lithographer.

Painting by Georges REDON Although born on Rue de Hauteville, Georges was a child of Montmartre, a neighbourhood to which he remained faithful all his life. 
Redon's prints and paintings are regularly exhibited: he is at the Salon des artistes Français, the National Society of Fine Arts, the Salon d'automne (of which he is the founding secretary), the Salon des peintres lithographers in 1909 and 1913 (where two of his works are acquired by the state).
