French painter follower of Domeniquin. Painting in a smaller version of the masterpiece by Domenico Zampieri known as il Domeniquin (one of the greatest Italian painters at the beginning of the XVIIth century). The work is located in Versailles above the fireplace in the Salle de Mars, before it was in the King's room during the Ancien Régime. The painting has a signature and a date on the back of the canvas, it is of high quality and has old restorations. Has a beautiful golden frame of the 19th century.
