Auguste Hadamard - Brother And Sisters 1842 flag

Object description :

"Auguste Hadamard - Brother And Sisters 1842"
Portrait full of charm of a sibling made up of a young boy and his two sisters.
The painter paid a lot of attention to the details of young people's outfits: Young girls wear similar dresses but adorned with different lace collars, enhanced with small coral jewels. The little brother wears a white collar and a red bow tie.
They pose in front of a green alcove-shaped backdrop.
This delicious painting is the work of Auguste Hadamard (1823 - 1886), French artist born in Metz (Moselle), painter of genre subjects, portraits, watercolor artist and lithographer. He was a pupil of Paul Delaroche and exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1846 to 1890. Source: Bénézit
