Watercolor of a very good quality of execution, of a great freshness, in very good original condition, protected by a glass which does not rest directly on the work. Very beautiful Florentine frame in very finely carved wood (a few small gaps not very visible), with its original gilding with gold leaf. All in very good original condition. Only the protective glass has been changed. Dimensions of the watercolor, 58.5x44.5 cm. Total dimensions, with frame, 78.5x70 cm. It is a revival of the self-portrait by Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun (1755-1842) painted in 1790 for its reception at the Uffizi Palace in Florence. The painting is currently still in Florence, in the Vasari Corridor, which allowed the Medici to pass from the Pitti Palace to the Palazzo Vecchio. It is one of the most famous self-portraits of Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun. It is the artist herself who paints herself using a mirror placed on the side.
