A Louis XV Provencal giltwood mirror carved. This rectangular mirror is composed of a central mirror embedded in glacettes fixed on a chassis panneauté maritime pine. All glacettes and mirror are mercury and origin. Decorated laterally with vines of grapes resting on acanthus; horizontally joined by reserves also centered acanthus. The pediment receives a basket throwing up many figs and foliage in a cartridge braces wearing a olive branch. Based horizontally a basket of figs lying on a bed with acanthus. All resting on two small feet sinuous ribbons foliage. The overall decor, pediment and amounts is attached to the frame by nailing between glacettes. typical work Provencal decorative arts of the first part of the eighteenth century.
