Augustin Carrera was born in Madrid in 1878 and died in Paris. Shurr: He was a pupil of Bonnat and Henri Martin, he executed the ceiling of the foyer of the Marseille opera house. From 1904 he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants then at the Tuillerie where he exhibited nudes, portraits of flowers and southern landscapes.
