Transition Firewall, Bronze
Louvered fire screen, Louis Transition style, in carved and patinated bronze. Napoleon period. The surroundings of violin shapes simulate leaf foliage from which branches emerge alternating with openwork mascarons. The central part is embellished with a pair of doves perched on a hoop of leafy branches held in place by a knotted ribbon. The shutters repeat the same surroundings, while they are embellished at their tops with garlands of falling flowers.
