Rare royal Sèvres porcelain butter patelle
From the service of Louis-Philippe at the Château de Neuilly
Hard porcelain butter dish called "patelle à beurre" in the shape of a lotus flower, decorated with groups of polychrome flowers and golden palm leaves.
Good condition, light wear.
Sèvres Royal Factory, 1836.
Mark with the blue stamp dated 1836, mark with the red stamp of the castle of Neuilly and mark of the gilder Moyez.

Provenance
Service of King Louis-Philippe at the Château de Neuilly, intimate home of the royal couple and their ten children (unlike the Tuileries, official residence and center of power), commissioned on December 8, 1835 from the Manufacture de Sèvres. Provided with a starter, dessert and tea service, it is described as "fond blanc, boudins de fleurs, frises et rosaces imprimées en or" and was paid for on Louis-Philippe's personal kitty.
