Exceptional craftsman, he quickly became famous, and participated in the universal exhibition of 1889 for which he won a silver medal. Mr. Durand is a cabinetmaker as skillful as he is modest, he exhibits for the first time first-class furniture of which he is both the designer and the maker of his furniture. he made to perfection many copies of the great master cabinetmakers of the 18th century.
