Polychrome ceramic vase with "mihrab" decorations. Pierre de Verclos embarks for Tunisia around 1921-1922 where he creates a ceramic workshop in Nabeul where there is an old tradition in the art of pottery. Affected by illness around 1936, the workshop continued under the direction of his wife Veronique until independence. It bears the Nabeul Tunisia stamp and the signature in Arabic of Nabeul verclos on the paunch.
