"Chalice In Golden Silver And Paten In Silver, France Beginning Of XIXth Century"
This chalice is entirely in gilded silver. The circular base is swollen with embossed decoration and chiseled on the edge of rosettes and smooth bands. Foot terrace adorned with a radiating cross in front of Jerusalem and plant symbols of the Eucharist. The corded, two-necked stem has an ovoid knot, adorned with palm leaves, ears of wheat, bunches of grapes and reeds. The cup is cylindrical with a slightly flared edge decorated with the same engraved plant motif.This chalice was most probably executed by a Master Goldsmith in the early 19th century.
This chalice bears several incomplete or crossed out hallmarks or stamps, they cannot be identified with precision.

Paten in silver with internal border in relief with IHS inscription, which adapts to the diameter of the cup of chalice. Traces of repair on one side of the paten.
